International Workshop on Cosmic Ray Direct Detection and Physics

Asia/Shanghai
Purple Mountain Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Purple Mountain Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Description

The origin and propagation of Galactic cosmic rays remain a mystery in astroparticle physics. Precise measurements of the energy spectra of individual nuclear species are very essential to uncover this problem. Thanks to the long-term operation of a series of space detectors, such as PAMELA, AMS, DAMPE, and CALET, great progresses of measurements of energy spectra of cosmic rays have been achieved in recent years. In particular, new spectral structures have been discovered which indicates the change of the traditional model of Galactic cosmic rays. This workshop aims to bring together the theoretical and experimental colleagues on related problems, to have in-depth discussion on the origin, acceleration, and propagation physics about Galactic cosmic rays.

The workshop will start in the afternoon of December 17, 2025, and end  on December 18, 2025. After that, there will be a two-day meeting of DAMPE collaboration which is restricted to the collaboration. The locations of both meetings are Purple Mountain Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences, at No. 10 Yuanhua Road, Xianlin District, Nanjing, China.
